ABOUT TIME YOU MET ME
I'm Kate, the human behind The Brandologist since 2021, though I've been designing professionally since 2013 (and unprofessionally since my 2007 MySpace days when I was coding hot pink abominations).
My brain is a cocktail of left and right warfare. Logical enough to dissect market psychology, creative enough to do something interesting with the mess afterward.
I've hoarded qualifications like they're going extinct: design, marketing, psychology, interior design, business, teaching... a collection that makes perfect sense if your career goal is "professional over-thinker who makes pretty things that actually work".
I really love creating customer experiences for product-based businesses that make people throw their credit cards at the screen while wondering what just happened to their self-control. I'm pathologically obsessed with the strategy behind design – because pretty logos attached to shit experiences are just expensive garbage with nice typography.
I'm as nerdy as they come, devastatingly passionate, and exceptional at designing with purpose. The result? Brands that outperform their markets while your competitors quietly update their CVs.
It's not always just me...
Sometimes I call in the big guns.
While I handle most projects personally (because I'm a control freak who hates disappointing clients), some projects require specialist help. I've cultivated relationships with the best copywriters, developers, and photographers who share my pathological obsession with quality.
I'll still be the contact and we'll still have the ideas, they'll just help us finesse.
As much as I wish the team photo was real, unfortunately I can't confirm that David or Moira Rose, or Kendrick Lamar work with me. The rabbit pretends to. Thank you AI.
